MEET OUR TEAM
Dean founded Vancouver Rehabilitation in 1984, and later founded Camas Physical Therapy and Salmon Creek Physical Therapy. He was raised in Vancouver and received his physical therapy degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Ill. He and his wife have raised five children in the Vancouver area and they are now happy grandparents. He is very involved in church and civic functions. They have both served on various charitable foundation boards. Dean’s physical therapy practice has always centered around kind, compassionate, patient care. He is well respected in medical circles as evidenced by the success of his practice. More often then not, when a local physician or their family needs therapy, they will call Mr. Barrus at Vancouver Rehabilitation as they know they will always be treated with kind professionalism.
Dennis has been practicing physical therapy since 1998. He graduated with his BS in Physical Therapy in 1988 from the University of Maryland at Baltimore – School of Medicine. He furthered his education to obtain his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine School of Physical Therapy, with an emphasis in manual therapy. He has certifications in Manual Therapy through the Institute of Physical Therapy, with a high skill set in orthopedics and manual treatments. He recently moved to the PNW from Florida with his wife of 29 yrs to be closer to their growing family and awesome grandchild. In his free time, Dennis enjoys hiking, golf, softball and racquetball.
